This is the Master Cutlery Jungle Master brand of Machete. It has black stainless steel and has a starter edge. Like the majority of machetes, you need to use a metal file or sharpening stone to hone the edge. This machete has thicker steel then most machetes that we have reviewed, and that is good. My team and I feel, that either for your backyard or camp site, this item is a very excellent and needed item to have. We had no issues at all with sharpening the blade and cutting down small brush. The green nylon sheath also seems very durable to us.

Conclusion:
All of these knives show, how versatile Master Cutery is as a company with many styles and brands of knives to choose from. The price points of all of these models above are less than that competition, with the "same" quality. My team and I have been saying that for a long time, but these knives above show that. As we noted above, we are going to try to do a exclusive review on the italian style switchblade type of knives that Master Cutlery has. They have more than the models then we received above, and again.. we have not seen any other companies out there producing that style of knife! - Tom
This MTech Xtreme knife is one of the best knives that we have reviewed yet in 2014. This is a medium size fixed blade knife that is 440C stainless steel and has a gun metal gray finsh. The knife is razor sharp and has a wide lanyard hole at the end of the pommel. The knife is full tang and has great micarta scales for the handle. The knife batons wood and chops like a dream. Just a awesome knife for a bug out bag, EDC or any other situation you can think of. My team and I love this knife and it also because it proves that Master Cutlery MTech Xtreme brand can hold it's own against other knife manufactures for quality at a lower price. Another thing that we love about this knife, is the sheath is well made, has straps for securing the sheath to the leg and also maybe more carrying options. The other nice thing, is the sheath has a storage pouch in the front with a flap, so you could carry small survival items such as matches and small first aid items. We really love this knife, simply awesome!

Another nice surprise, in this Master Cutlery MTech Xtreme knife brand. A lot of people note that the blade of this knife looks like one from a famous video game, we won't say which video game, but we can comfirm that the blade is very close in appearance. The tip of the knife is like a tanto knife then there is the first edge of the knife, followed by the second edge by the handle. That edge is slightly recessed upwards (see picture above). The two nice things in regards to that is, you can use the recessed edge that is close to the handle for cutting... say rope.. and leave the other knife edge towards the tip sharp for other tasks. The top of the knife has a saw edge that easily goes thru tree branches. The handle is abs plastic.. it's not g-10 scales, but not a major deal breaker. The cut outs in the handle scales proved a sturdy grip. It's 440C stainless steel and has a "textured pattern" on the blade. Last thing, the sheath is 100% ok, don't listen to the other negative reviews. You can also strap this sheath on your leg so it won't flop around when it's hooked to your belt. Another nice feature of the sheath, is it has a front "pocket" that has a flap that goes over it. You can store matches, a small sharpening stone and maybe first aid and other survival items in that if you want. Again, a really great deal for the price.

This Master Cutlery MTech knife brand. We like to call this a "rough use" knife. This fixed blade knife has a very rough coating on it to protect the blade, that coating does wear down to a smooth black finish after time. This knife reminds my team and I on a review that we did last year, in regards to the two large MTech fixed blade knives (click here to see the review). This knife, holds up just as well. We sliced thru "a lot" of cardboard. Then we chopped a few pieces of pine 2x4's and was able to hone the blade again right afterwards. The blade did not sold under the testing. The blade is 440A stainless steel and is full tang. The rubber handle has a pin in the pommel to hold the handle to the full tang. This would be a great knife to have in a car or truck, just to have on hand if needed. -Tom

Here is why I like this MTech folding knife.. it is the "easiest and smoothest" knife to open that I have "ever used"! Really, this knife has a "flipper" in the back handle and is a manual assited opening, which you flick your wrist slightly to open the blade, or you can use the thumb studs on the blade. Either \ or, this is the easest knife to open THAN ANY KNIFE THAT WE HAVE EVER REVIEWED! That says a lot right there. The knife blade is 440A stainless, with a partially serrated edge. The knife does come in black with blue inserts in the handle, Black and red inserts or pink. It also has a seatbelt cutter and glass breaker on the pommel. I have been carrying this knife a lot, and for the low price you really NEED to buy this one for a every day carry option ! -Tom

This is from Master Cutlery Tac-Force line. This is a spring assited folding knife, it has a "flipper" on the blade that comes out of the handle, just flick that flipper part and the blade comes automatically out of the side of the handle. This is great if you need to have a one hand opening type of knife. The knife blade is 440A stainless, and has a wicked sharp edge. The handle has really knife smooth wood scales.. before we looked at the the written specs, I said to my team,
"this looks like pakkawood" and it is pakkawood which is very wear resitant. This labeled as a Gentleman's knife and for good reason, as does have a classic and smooth look to it. We have flick and closed the blade way over 100 times, and do not see any issues at all with this knife. It also has a great tactical feel to it. -Tom

It looks like Master Cutlery has the most, if not all of this style of knife. This is from thier MTech line of folding knives.
This is a classic italian switchblade style design of knife. In the U.S.A. there was a lot of these knives that were very popular in the 1970's, as well as in movies in that time span. There is hardly any knife companies out there that make these, and none that we know that has as many designs as Master Cutlery! This model is not spring assisted, it is a manual opening. However, note that Mastery Cutlery does have spring models under thier Tac-Force line. We will try to have a review of the other models if possible, in our next review.
This model has a small flipper on the back of the blade, that comes up from the handle. It also has a thumb stud on the blade. There is one edge on the blade, and the top of the blade could be sharpened if a person wanted to do that. This is 420 stainless steel, probally because the blade is thinner, the trade off is 420 has less carbon but it more rust resistant. The blade is super sharp, and the point is wicked! The mother-of-pearl scales on the handle is awesome looking and the handle is very sturdy and thick nickle bolsters. There is also a pocket clip on this model and because this knife is so thin, it would make a nice low profile knife for small bags or pockets. Again, you will not find hardly any companies that carry this style of knife. -Tom

Master Cutlery has a lot of spring assited opening knives under thier Tac-Force brand of knives. Some have traditional styles of scales for the handles, some are very bright and colorful. This knife, really surprised me. It has a 2.25 inch blade which I really like, because sometimes depending on where a person is, and what they are doing a small blade is preffered and this knife is perfect. Also, the aluminum scales on the handle has that blue dragon on both sides of the handle. The handle is also not slippery in the handle, because there is a slight circle machined pattern in the metal that you can see when light hits the sides of the knife. That actually also helps out with more grip. This knife has a seatbelt cutter and a glass breaker on the end of the knife. If you need a small knife, this one is very hard to beat. We would like to see more of this size knife blade on other handle configurations from Master Cutlery in the future. -Tom
